Understand a company's financial health from its filed accounts

A company's filed accounts tell you far more than a single score. FirmVerdict reads those accounts and shows you the indicators that matter — with the working shown.

The indicators that matter

  • Profitability: turnover, operating profit, EBITDA and pre-tax profit trends
  • Margins: operating and net margin direction across periods
  • Solvency: net assets, shareholder equity and balance-sheet strength
  • Liquidity signals: working capital indicators where the accounts disclose them
  • Scale and efficiency: employee counts and revenue per employee

Every indicator is explainable

Each health indicator on FirmVerdict shows its inputs, the period it covers, the filing it came from and how confident the extraction is. If accounts are abbreviated or data is missing, we say so — missing data stays missing.

Understand the limits of filed data

UK small companies and micro-entities file abbreviated accounts with limited disclosure. A micro-entity balance sheet cannot tell you as much as full accounts, and filings can be many months old. FirmVerdict labels the account type and period on every figure so you always know what you are looking at.
